Services Of Approximately 29 Government School Teachers Expelled

According to the reports, the services of approximately twenty nine teachers were terminated since they were absent for a very long time. The DGSE (director general of school education) said that the services of the teachers were terminated because their absence was unauthorized and this resulted into the loss of studies and precious time in students. Moreover, they also have spoiled the disciplined atmosphere of the school.

The teachers were absent from schools since 2003. Last month, 39 government school teachers were dismissed by the DGSE for their unauthorized absence from schools.

According to the records, these teachers were absent from the year of 2003 and therefore, the DGSE dismissed these school teachers for their unauthorized absents.

While talking to the Hindustan times, Pannu also confirmed that these teachers were given the time of one month in order to give their response that why shouldn’t they dismissed for their absence. However, when no reply came from the teachers’ side they were bound to take action and therefore these teachers were dismissed from their duties.

The DGSE also added that according to the regulations of the supreme court in such type of unauthorized absents the teachers are supposed to be terminated and no inquiry or prior notice in this aspect must be entertained.

Additionally, Barjinder Singh who is in charge of a government school said that it is a good opportunity  for  the youngsters to get the government jobs since the  post will  be now for the new teachers.

Out of these twenty nine teachers, thirteen were from Ludhiana, four of them were from Sangrur, Gurdaspur and Patiala districts.
