Probe Done On Five Month Records At Rajindra Hospital, Patiala

The 2-member probe committee comprising of Hussan Lal, Managing Director of Punjab Health System Corporation and Dr Tejveer Singh, Director Research and Medical Education, have finally sought out the records of all the purchased medicine over the past five months by Rajindra Hospital.

Hussan Lal has informed the media that this probe was taken under orders from the Chief minister Prakash Singh Badal to carry out an in-depth investigation into the allegations put on the hospital for purchasing expired medicines.

Hussan Lal also confirmed that Dr Tejveer is checking out all the medicines batch numbers that have been purchased from the local market and this report shall soon be given to the chief minister.

Dr Tejveer later in the day also confirmed that he has checked all the stock personally. Now he is going to check the procedure that has been adopted in purchasing the medicine that is issued and will also examine the indent books (demand records and issue of medicines).

Meanwhile, the medical superintendent V K Sharda, few of the senior doctors and the storekeeper Ripu Daman are holding close door meeting at the medical superintendent’s office.
