It also led to Srinivasanto “step aside” as BCCI president. This in turn brought- former chief Jagmohan Dalmiyaas who is the head of a four-member “interim arrangement” to run the Board.
Meanwhile, it was said by Thomson that SAI needed to set up a system monitoring the activities of coach’s andnational campers at the training centers across the country.

He was referring to the case of Beijing Olympic medalist- boxer Vijender Singh who went on an extended leave from the National camp at NIS Patiala following a drug scandal without informing the concerned officials.

While addressing this topic Mr. Thomson also added that a scientific society named C-DAC will be checking all the whereabouts regarding this issue and will take the final call. And then he also stated that Vijender Singh may have joined the NIS of Patiala. But then he may also have applied for his joining of Patiala camp.

Citing personal reasons, Vijender was hesitant to travel for the national camp at the NIS Patiala.
