700 Boxes Of Beer For Patiala Delivery Seized; Liquor Company’s Licence Cancelled

The excise and taxation functionaries have called off the license of the local Unique Wine Developer Ltd (L-1) situated on Malout Road at Muktsar.

As per Mr. Jaspal Garg, Deputy Excise and Taxation Commissioner (DETC), Ferozepur, “There was an inconsistency in the official and physical stock obtainable at the godown of Unique Wine, Muktsar, and they were forwarded a challan by our functionaries in this regard. They were summoned today at my office and their licence was called off after they failed to generate the necessary papers.”

But, he stated, “The owners of Unique Wine may now lodge a plea before the higher authorities in this regard.”

The pick-up vehicle of Unique Wine possessors was grabbed at Bathinda with around 700 boxes of beer on May 09.

These were reportedly being sent to the city of Patiala.

The proprietors had at that point failed to turn out the papers before the excise functionaries and an FIR was registered.
