To Sell Additional Power, Badal Gives Nod To Trading Firm

Mr. Parkash Singh Badal, Punjab Chief Minister has given nod to Punjab State Power Corporation Limitd (PSPCL) for setting up a power trading firm with the aim to sell surplus power that is expected to be generated from the forthcoming thermal facilities in Punjab, to other states.

A verdict to this effect was taken by Badal at a gathering with L&T head SN Roy.

The latter had called on the CMat his official residence here to update him on the status of the Rajpura thermal plant.

Badal directed Punjab State Power Corporation Limitd (PSPCL) chairman KD Chaudhri to exercise the modalities for setting up the trading firm with the intention that it could be set up by September 2013.
