Punjab Finmin Seeks Report Into Founder’s Day celebration

Punjab finmin Parminder Singh Dhindsa has demanded a thorough report into the extravagant commemoration of the Founders Day of the 2 power corporations, Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL) and the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL), on Tuesday.

Singh has sought a report from the Secretary, Power, and condemned the wasteful methods of Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL) and the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL).

“Extreme spending on such incidents cannot be allowed,” Dhindsa stated.

The Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL) and the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) had observed their 4th yearly Founder’s Day at the Officers Club in the Power Colony on Tuesday even though these companies are going through heavy losses.

More than 200 invitees, comprising present and ex top officers of the corporations had attended the function.

The official representative of the PSPCL and the PSTCL defended the verdict to commemorate the Founder’s Day.
