Criminals Arrested For Throwing Chilli Powder In Ludhiana Cop’s Eyes, Nabbed In Patiala
Criminals threw chilli powder in the eyes of a policeman in Ludhiana. They were decamped with his service pistol and were later nabbed in Patiala on Monday. These criminals were actually a part of an inter- state gang. This gang is involved in various murder, dacoity and looting cases. Jaswinder Singh a gang member had snatched a 9 mm service pistol from a cop on the 21st of June in Ludhiana.
Ishwar Singh the IGP of the Patiala Zone said the nine member gang were arrested during a special checking was held near the Dwarka Das petrol pump on the Sirhind Road. When the police tried to stop the two cars at the naka at night the accused fired at them, SSP Mann said. The two cars used were a Swift (CH04AD- 4383) and an Optra (PB24B- 0074) and about 6 people were in the cars on Sirhind Road.
Mann also reported that they tried to snatch head Constable Kuldeep Singh’s carbine but fellow policemen nabbed Jaswinder singh alias Honey on the spot. Jaswinder Singh was carrying a 9 mm pistol with three live cartridges.
Jaswinder Singh alias Honey and his friends snatched a 9mm pistol and a mobile phone from a PCR employee in Ludhiana on the 21st of June. A case under the Arms Act has been registered against the accused Mann reported. Ludhiana police said they would bring the accused on a production warrant soon.
