Caught With The Bribe Money, Cops In Patiala To Plot Frame Up

In Patiala, certain police officers in district came under scanner for making the case under NDPS Acts against the alleged drug peddler whose name is Amandeep Mittal.

However, the money, which was given by the accused to the officials has been recovered from the ASI of Ramnagar and has been charged from the corruption charges. In addition to this police has also registered the NDPS charges against these police officials who helped the accused in running from the jail.

The Ramnagar police had on June 17 picked up Mittal and recovered tablets and capsules from his house following the arrest of another smuggler.

“In place of lodging an FIR against him, Ramnagar ASI Narpinder Singh allegedly took over Rs 2.20 lakhs and let him off,” reads the FIR against the ASI.

The senior police officials further revealed that the two police constables took the bribe of thirty thousand rupees and therefore, the Mittal was kept in the illegal confinement of the police.

In addition to this the senior superintended of the police (SSP) has order red to take a serious action against these cops. Additionally, another team also whisked away for both the Mittal as well as Narpinder from Ramnagar post. However, the latter was also let off on following day when he was questioned after a FIR was filed against him.

According to a Fir copy which is also available at the Tribune, the Jhulkar police station has also registered the vase against the Mittall on the date of June 18. According to this FIR, the Mittal Singh was arrested with the drugs of lakhs of rupees from his alto car. He was arrested near Dudhan Sadhan village. However, the family of Mittal claims that the he was picked on June 17.
