A Boy Died Because Of Lack Of The Life-Saving Equipments In The Patiala Hospital

Death of the ten year old boy the OICU and NICU unit of the Rajinder hospital in Patiala because of the insufficient medical equipments has raised the question mark on the facilities available in the hospitals of Patiala. This is a regrettable situation which should be rectified as soon as possible. Moreover, even the doctors of the hospital said that that child could be saved if there were the sufficient medical equipments available in the hospital.

According to a doctor of the hospital, it was right that the child was brought to the hospital in a very serious condition however; the life of the child could be easily saved if there were the right equipments available at that time.

According to records, it is quite evident that the hospital has not given any ventilator or some other life saving equipments in the past years.

According to the reports the name of the child was Hardeep Singh and he was transferred from a local hospital to the hospital in Patiala on the Complaint of dehydration however, in the state of emergency the doctors had to transfer him to the pediatric ward, where this child died after some time only because of the unavailability of the appropriate life saving equipments.

One of the doctors of the hospital has revealed that in the course of last three months there have been approximately eleven air conditioners supplied to the maintenance of the Doctors room and the stores however, the authorities failed to pay attention on the medical equipments which will be necessary for the patients. Moreover, there were several timers requirements sent to the PICU and NICU, however the authorities did not provided the required equipments.

It is very important that the authorities PICU and NICU should provide the required medical equipments as soon as possible in order to avoid future problems.
